The attention to detail put into many of the special effects is quite a spectacle to witness considering they were done 37 years ago. No, not from the scary presence of the ancient monster, but from seeing how each of her snakes are painstakingly animated individually. Perhaps one of the best known films from the gods and monsters period of movies, Clash of the Titans chronicles the adventures of one of Zeus's many children Perseus on his travels as he seeks to become a hero, save the princess and slay one monster with the head of another. The animation on Medusa alone is enough to make me sick to my stomach. I must also compliment the practical special effects master, Ray Harryhausen, as he bows out in impressive style. If you take my advice above, then 'Clash of the Titans' is a very entertaining adventure that will appeal to the kid in all of us.
